Oil
How Oil Works
There are three ways to convert oil into electricity. Conventional Steam, combustion turbines and combined cycle technology. In the Conventional steam method oil is burnt to create heat that converts water into steam. Later on the steam runs turbines to create electricity. The Combustion turbine under high pressure burns oil that results into the creation of the hot gases that are used to work the turbine to produce electricity. The last method, the oil is burned in the combustion turbine to create gases that spins the turbine. The gasses are then its projected into a chamber where water is kept. After turning water into steam, the steam is used to create electricity.
The Problems
There are many problems to fossil fuels. Fossil fuels may provide us with all we need but, they are extremely dangerous in our world. For e.g. plastic bottles are being wasted and not reused. It is a tragic that since we do not reuse plastic bottles, we are also wasting fossil fuels because plastic bottles are made from oil. Another problem is the oil spills happening. Oil spills are a disaster. Oil spills are causing harm to animals with it's chemicals. Oil spills are also causing to people too. 23,500 people are killed per year from oil spills. Luckily some humans help animals when harmed by oil, humans help animals by cleaning them and making sure they do not die. Fossil fuels impact life in many ways. There are many more problems about fossil fuels, and we need to start reducing, reusing and recycling.
Pollution
When fossil fuels are burnt, they give out pollution which is terrible. When using cars they would pollution they air too. We humans pollution the air from doing things in daily life that we do not even realize. Many kinds of transportation pollutes. For e.g. cars, planes and boats. Cars, planes and boat pollute the air from the motor. The motor gives out the carbon dioxide. Oil is a nasty chemical that is dangerous to the world. The pollution that it causes makes it harder for us humans breath. Pollutant has a huge impact on the environment.
